THE HISTORY AND WINES OF FRANCE”S RHONE VALLEY
Long-time friends of EDC and wine professionals, Patrick and Donna Will, will lead you and 9 friends through a lovely 90-120 minute seminar exploring the history of France’s Rhône Valley including a tasting of wines from iconic vineyards in both Northern and Southern Rhône. Patrick teaches the master class on the Rhône at the Culinary Institute of America and has been honored with a Key to the City of Châteauneuf du Pape. Patrick and Donna were the national importers for the Guigal Family wines for 15 years, and are in large part responsible for the widespread availability of those wines in the US. The tasting will include wines from Côte Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Saint Joseph, Cornas, Châteauneuf du Pape, Tavel and other appellations, and will feature wines from the estate vineyards of E. Guigal, Jaboulet, and Domaine de Vieux Télégraphe, among others. The tasting will take place at an agreed upon local venue and will include a slide presentation and light snacks.
